Derwentside Explorer Unit

Are you 14 to 18 and looking for fun, adventure and making new friends? Explorer Scouting is calling you!

We are a popular unit, sitting at the heart of our community and part of Derwentside Scout District. We meet in Annfield Plain.

As an Explorer Scout you get to take part in all the usual great Scouting activities such as power boating, climbing, archery, target shooting, hiking and camping as well as work on projects helping to support your local community. 

Through the Explorer Scout Unit you can continue to work towards being a King's Scout as well as embarking on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. You can also, if you choose, get more closely involved in working with the younger Sections as a Young Leader.
